About

Eliobe was a project started by me, Jen Griffith, while working at Queens County Farm Museum.  Working hard to grow healthy, chemical free vegetables by day, I wanted to use products on my body of the same quality.  Not recognizing the ingredients used to make what was marketed as natural lotions, I decided to start making my own. I was surprised at how my sunbaked farmers skin responded so well to the natural oils, waters, and beeswax.  What started as a personal project, took on a life of its own as others were also interested in a natural, simple product.

I now live in Los Angeles and have welcomed a little girl, Beatrice Bean to our family. Having a little one on the way has only strengthened my interest in taking care of our bodies and making choices that are good for our planet.

I am also many things aside from a lotion-maker.  I love textiles, clay, plants, sailing, and generally making new things.  I will use this website as a venue to put up other current passion projects.  I hope to soon be able to promote friends’ projects on here that I believe in.

If you are ever inspired to collaborate, please drop me a line at info@eliobe.com.  As a young business, we are very open to seeing where this project may go.
